I'm still alive

I made it through the night, lucky to see the morning. From here on in, every moment is a gift.

Ugggggghhhhhhhh...

I'm sorry you're sick. My daughter has had a cold since Thanksgiving. I think it's a cold. Maybe it's something horrible and deadly though, although she seems to be functioning ok.

How about some chicken soup? Would that help?

I think a very big part of the problem is self-medication: folks use the old box of antibiotics that worked for auntie Emma during her last flu episode; the moment they feel better they stop taking the medicine. This has caused viruses and microbes to grow frighteningly immune to modern medications, to the point that hospitals are turning into bio-hazards zones.

My sister's best friend recently died in a hospital. Mind you, this was a top-of-the-line & VERY expensive medical facility, but she contracted a severe infection that complicated her condition, and died after several weeks... leaving a hefty expenses bill to her family! This has to be addressed immediately by world governments.
